Privacy Policy
MissionAlert ("MissionAlert," "we," "us") provides an advisory protective-intelligence service. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By creating an account or opting in to alerts, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — name, email address, mobile phone number, organization, and role.
- Protectee & itinerary information — the people you protect, their saved locations (home, work, school, hotels, safe havens), travel itineraries, and codenames you assign.
- Location information — protectee location you provide or connect (for example, via an opt-in location share), used solely to evaluate proximity to threats and generate alerts.
- Operational records — trip assignments, field logs, contacts you keep on file, and incident reports your team records.
- Usage & device data — basic technical logs needed to operate and secure the service.
2. How we use information
- To generate advance briefs, monitor for relevant events near your protectees, and deliver alerts.
- To maintain your account's institutional memory (dossiers, contacts, trip history) across trips.
- To send you service messages, including SMS alerts you have opted in to receive (see Section 4).
- To secure the service, prevent abuse, and meet legal and duty-of-care record-keeping obligations.
3. How we share information
We share information only as needed to run the service and only with:
- Service providers who process data on our behalf under contract — for example, our SMS delivery provider, geocoding/mapping provider, and cloud hosting — and only to the extent needed to perform that function.
- Within your organization — members of your account (per the roles you assign) can see the protectees, trips, and records you share with them.
- Legal & safety — where required by law, or to protect the safety of a person.
Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties for marketing.
4. SMS / text-message program
If you opt in, MissionAlert sends recurring service text messages, which may include: proximity and condition alerts, pre-travel briefs, check-in requests, and escalation notices.
- Consent: You opt in during account setup or by enabling SMS alerts in the app. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase.
- Frequency: Message frequency varies and depends on your trips and current conditions.
- Rates: Message and data rates may apply, per your mobile carrier plan.

STOPto any message to cancel SMS alerts at any time. You will receive a confirmation and no further texts unless you opt in again. - Help: Reply

5. Data retention
We retain protectee, trip, alert, and audit records for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service and meet duty-of-care obligations. Alert-decision audit records may be retained for up to seven years. You may request deletion of your data as described below.
6. Security
The information in MissionAlert — movements, homes, families, and incident histories — is sensitive, and we treat it that way. We use industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards, tenant isolation, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices & rights
- Access, correct, or delete your personal information by contacting us.
- Opt out of SMS by replying
STOP; manage other notifications in the app. - Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws.
8. Children
MissionAlert is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information except where a parent or guardian adds a dependent as a protectee under a family account they control.
9. Changes
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date.
